I found myself jumping between different apps and spreadsheets, trying to piece together what was actually happening with my money. I'd use one app for budgeting, another for tracking investments, and still had to manually export CSV files to get any real reporting.

As someone who spent my days working with data analytics and building detailed reports for businesses, I was surprised at how basic personal finance tools were. The options were either too simple (just showing account balances) or way too complicated (needing a finance degree to understand).

I wanted something that put all my accounts in one place but also gave me the kind of analysis I was used to at work. I wanted to understand not just what I spent, but patterns in my spending, trends over time, and insights that would actually help me make better decisions.

After looking around and not finding what I needed, I decided to build it myself. Fiscility started as a personal project — a way for me to get the financial clarity I was looking for.

What started as solving my own problem became something bigger when friends and family saw what I'd built and wanted to use it too. They had the same issues: financial data spread everywhere, unclear spending patterns, and no tools that actually helped them understand their money.
